How to Whip in MX WORLD

Early first-looks said whips felt forced. A later ShayArson race video corrected it: let off the gas in the air and the whip cleans up. Blocks Of Laughs then taught the steer: A then D (or D then A), without holding W or S, preferably off a large ramp. That is the whole move. Everything else is timing the lip so you have enough hang time to finish the layout before the dirt arrives.

Whip steps

1. Use a dirt bike you already land consistently. The pipe in the stunt park is the classroom.
2. Approach with speed, but not with a death-grip on W.
3. Leave the lip, then release throttle.
4. Tap A, then D (or the reverse) to throw the bike sideways and recover.
5. Square up before landing. Rear wheel first on steep downs.
6. If you cartwheel, you either held W, held a steer too long, or used a kicker that was too small.

Why it fails

Holding throttle in the air fights the layout. Holding backward (S / down) while you think you are “helping” turns a whip into a front flip or a loop — useful on purpose, documented on the wheelie and flips page, disastrous when mixed. Gamepad players have an easier time because analog steer can be a small flick. Keyboard players should tap, not pin.

Do not learn this on Ramp Circuit lap two. Learn it on the pipe, then take one committed whip onto a Ramp table once you can land ten in the hub. Hybrid Trail does not want whips at all.
